This Combined Lab is built using a very Dell R620 Server w/ 256GB RAM + 2TB SSD Drive
This Server includes 2 x Octo-Core Processors (Xeon E5-2650)
The Server is running VMware ESXi 6.5 Enterprise Version with a Permanent Enterprise License.

Each Processor includes 8 Cores with Multi-threading, which translates into 16 vCPU's per Processor. Therefore, the Server supports up to 32 vCPU's
The CCIE EI Lab includes the following Virtual Machines (VM's):
- 1 x EVE-NG VM (with all the Nodes to emulate a Viptela SD-WAN Network)
- 1 x CML-2 VM (License not included)
- 1 x Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) ver 2.6 - 1 x Ubuntu Server ver 20.04.2 - 1 x Ubuntu Desktop ver 20.04.2 - 1 x Windows 2012 Server VM - 20 x Instances of the CSR-1000v Virtual Routers with IOS 17.3.2 (SD-WAN compatible)
Viptela SD-WAN:
This Lab includes a EVE-NG VM (Emulated Virtual Environment-Next Generation)
Community Edition version 2.0.3-112
The EVE-NG VM includes all the Network Nodes needed to emulate a Viptela SD-WAN Network:

In fact, our Lab includes a Fully Configured and ready to use Sample SD-WAN Network
We provide all the Configuration Files that you can use to build your own Network.
The CCIE Security Lab includes the following Virtual Machines (VM's):

All these Virtual Devices are pre-installed and pre-configured in the Server.
The original installation Software is also included (saved in the Server's Datastore)
Server Management:
The CCIE EI Lab could be managed with a single Management Station (PC or Laptop).
However, for the CCIE Security Lab it is recommended to have 2 separate PC's for Management purposes.
PC-1 is the standard Client-PC that all Servers need and it's also used for Out-of-Band Management.
PC-2 is the In-band Management PC. It's used to connect to the Management Interface of each Virtual Appliance.
However, there are some ways to avoid using 2 PC's. This is explained in detail in the User's Guide.
This is a summary of the Licenses for each Virtual Appliance:
- ISEv: 90-Day Trial License (it must be re-installed after 90 days)
- WLCv: 90-Day Trial License (it must be re-installed after 90 days)
- FTDv: 90-Day Trial License (it must be re-installed after 90 days)
- FMCv: 90-Day Trial License (it must be re-installed after 90 days)
- WSAv: 30-Day Trial License (it needs a new License after Trial Period)
- ESAv: 30-Day Trial License (it needs a new License after Trial Period)
- ACSv: Permanent License! - ESXi Server: Permanent Enterprise Version License! - Test Stations (Windows 2008 Server): Permanent License! - NGIPSv: No License! (Please see note about this Appliance below)
- ASAv: Lab Edition Mode (No License), but still fully functional. Data Rate limited to 100Kbps
- CSR1000v: Lab Edition Mode (No License) but still fully functional. Data Rate limited to 2.5Mbps
CCIE SP Lab:
The new Topology for the CCIE SP needs 6 XE Routers (CSR1000v) & 6 XR Routers (XRv)
Therefore, the CCIE section of this Lab includes a total 28 Virtual Routers
CSR1000v Routers are loaded w/ IOS XE 16.9.5, while the XRv Routers are loaded w/ IOS XR 6.1.2
